Daily post limit

Hello,

I read through the FAQ and some threads here but I didn't find a clear answer to my question:

FAQ says:

Daily post limit allows to set how many messages you want to send to a forum per day (24 hours). After the daily post limit is reached the message will be delayed needed time to pass that 24h limit.

Is this related to the forum alone or also to posting account? If I set the limit to 10, will every user configured in TP for that forum be able to post 10 times a day?

Hi,

it's based only on forum (not user accounts).

Some setting / change to acknowledge users is suggestions I believe.

If you need 10 (per user) and you post with two users simultaneously I could only suggest to set that setting to 20. That would work as long as you post the same amount of posts with both users.

Yes, I found a thread about "auto-changing users" somewhere here.

I wouldn't need an auto-change, I think connecting the limit to user-accounts would just make more sense. Forum admins set limits per user, so that's what I'd expect from a poster also :-)

You already have support for proxies and proxy-per-user (or plainly: "multiple identities") so thinking about changing the way limits work would be just logical in my opinion. I'd never want to limit a forum in whole while posting, I'd just want to limit the posting user.

For my kind of application I'll code something on my side that spreads the posts among the accounts using post by directory since I am at a point where I really need this.

I think there is suggestion exactly the same as what you want. Anyway, will keep it in mind.

I'm not sure if adding multiple users was even possible when I made that limit setting.

E.g: I have a forum that only allow create 10 post/account/day.
So I create multi account ( 5 account for example) and add 5 account to this forum on themaposter with rank 1 to rank 5.
I know how to limit post per day per 1 account of forum, but I want post 5 account on 1 day on 1 forum.
How to set up posting 5 account on this forum ( 50 post/5account/day)?
