Hi, I would like to have one topic in certain board to be in two different groups (A abd B). I could do that by adding this topic twice in Topics editor, using different groups each time. The problem is that this board have limitation for one thread of 10 posts daily. Unfortuantelly seems that TP is setting "Daily post limit" for the relation Group->Topic, not for the topic itself (globally). That means I have a topic in group A with 10 posts limit and secont (the same) topic in group B with 10 posts limit, what can lead to overposting (forum does not block topic when 10 posts are made one day, but can easyly ban for such behaviour). Splitting it 50/50 does not make any sense, because sometimes there are 70/30 and sometimes 90/10. Is there some walkaround for that? |

The limit is for a topic, but since you added two topics they are two topics (not one, even if IDs are the same). The only way would be as you mentioned by splitting 50/50. If you're posting more to group A than B, you can make it 70/30. That's the only way. Or just add that topic in some separate group C (removing from A and B) and just post there as well all posts which you post to A and B. |
